Mary Records was born in Lafayette, LA, and then in 1990 her family moved to Morgan City where her father became pastor at New Life. This church has a special place in her heart, as it is where she was baptized in Jesus’ Name, filled with the Holy Ghost, and first felt a strong desire to worship. In 1992 her family felt a call to share the gospel in Wyoming, where she spent most of her childhood. She helped her parents at the church teaching Sunday school, singing, and playing the piano. She moved back to Louisiana when she was in her teens, and graduated from DeRidder High School in 2003.

Feeling a desire to put her gifts and talents to use for God, she made the decision to attend Texas Bible College in Lufkin, TX immediately following high school. There she took courses designed to train music ministers and directors, ranging from Keyboarding, Media Technology, to Conducting. She was very involved in the Texas Bible College Chorale, and toured several parts of the country with them. She was also very involved in the Performing Arts Club. She graduated with her diploma in Christian Music in 2007.

She started teaching piano while in college and continues to have several students. She has helped many churches with music, including her father, Rev. Paul Record’s church, Sugartown Pentecostal, in Sugartown, LA, and also New Life Church, pastored by Bro. A.B. Keating in Jacksonville, TX. After doing two Music/Choir Weekend Workshops with New Life Tabernacle, she accepted the position of Minister of Music here and since January 2008 she’s enjoyed working with the Praise Team, Musicians, Community Impact Choir, Expressions of Worship, Drama, and other various groups and people involved with New Life Tabernacle.
